AN ERASMUS MUNDUS MASTER IN QUANTUM TECHNOLOGIES AND ENGINEERING

A diploma of excellence funded by the European Union Erasmus+ programme
and supported by the collaboration between 3 international universities

The Erasmus Mundus Master in Quantum Technologies and Engineering (QuanTEEM) is a diploma of excellence funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and supported by the collaboration between 3 international universities: Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté (UBFC) (operated at Université de Bourgogne), the Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) and Aarhus Universitet (AU). With a programme around quantum technologies, it is open to the best international students who want to study in Europe.

A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAMME IN QUANTUM TECHNOLOGIES

QuanTEEM offers a comprehensive programme in quantum technologies, covering all its current applications and exploiting a wide range of industrial cooperation. The innovative and unique content of QuanTEEM in Europe relies on the expertise and research activities of the ICB Laboratory at UBFC, directed by Stéphane Guérin, also in charge of the project, the Department of Physics at RPTU and the Center for Complex Quantum Systems at AU.

The programme is based on the established quantum pillars: quantum communication, quantum simulations, quantum sensing, quantum computers and computation, and quantum information sciences, towards innovation. It addresses aspects and applications ranging from basic research in physics and beyond to major grand challenges such as energy, materials, health, security and environment, to which quantum technologies has started to apply.

In addition to its three European partner universities, the QuanTEEM consortium counts more than 20 associated partners, including 13 industrial partners ranging from large companies to Quantum start-ups.

WE EDUCATE TOP SKILLED QUANTUM EXPERTS, ENGINEERS AND RESEARCHERS

Our mission is to educate top skilled quantum experts, engineers and researchers with multi-disciplinary approaches in physics, chemistry, materials science (including nanostructures) and computer science, serving as the backbone of the programme. We provide students with an international network, a genuine European learning as well as an integrated cultural and multilanguage experience.

Students graduating from the QuanTEEM master’s programme will have the ability to be recruited in the numerous private companies active in the field of Quantum Technologies, to embark on a top-class PhD programme in laboratories (research department) and private companies (R&D department), or to create a start-up, anywhere in Europe and in the world.

COLLABORATION BETWEEN
3 INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITIES

1 CONTINENT / 3 COUNTRIES / 3 CAMPUSES / 4 SPECIALTIES
