Carnot Workshop on Quantum Thermodynamics
and Open Quantum Systems
25-27 November 2024, Dijon, France
This workshop aims to gather ”regional” (France and neighbours) reseachers working on quantum thermodynamics and open quantum systems. This is also the occasion to celebrate the 200 years of the publication of the famous book ”Reflections on the motive power of fire” of Sadi Carnot, which gave birth to Thermodynamics. The workshop will take place on the campus of University of Burgundy (Université de Bourgogne), from 25 to 27 November 2024, in Dijon (France), remembering that Dijon and its region (Burgundy) is the home town of the Carnot family. The workshop will also be broadcast online via zoom.
Additionally, this workshop will be the occasion for Master students from the Erasmus Mundus Master QuanTEEM to attend and benefit from a serie of talks on topics at the heart of their training in quantum technologies.
Please note that there are no registration fees for the workshop, but registration is mandatory (see the link below).
This workshop received financial support from the QuanTEdu-France project.

We also want to highlight an other event held at Le Creusot, entitled « Chaleur, énergie, thermodynamique-Le message de Carnot aujourd’hui… 200 ans après », on historical and modern aspects of Thermodynamics, organized by Académie François Bourdon, 21-22 November 2024. Click here for more details.
